Jon Hamilton is the Worship Director for Erie First, overseeing the music ministry and praise & worship teams and is the primary worship leader for Erie First’s Sunday services. Jon is also the administrator for Creative Arts.
In addition to his role as Worship Director, Jon teaches music at Erie First Christian Academy.
Jon is a 2003 graduate of Collegiate Academy in Erie, PA. He earned a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Music from Allegheny College in 2007 and a Master’s degree in Middle and Secondary Education from Edinboro University in 2011.
After graduating from Allegheny, Jon worked in Campus Ministry for the Coalition for Christian Outreach, partnering with Waynesburg University. He was the Resident Director for the 2007/2008 school year.
Jon moved back to Erie and started attending Erie First in the fall of 2008. He helped lead worship for Chi Alpha campus ministries, and also played with the Erie First Worship Band.
Following the departure of Jenny Wheeler as Erie First Worship Director in 2010, Jon became one of three rotating worship leaders for Erie First’s Sunday services.
In July 2011, Jon accepted the full-time position as Worship Director at Erie First.
