What is a small group?
A small group is an intentional gathering of at least six to eight people that meet together around a topic, purpose, event, or just for fun on a regular basis.

What are Alpha groups?
Whether you have just accepted Jesus as your personal Savior or have questions about the Christian faith Alpha Groups are for you.  Alpha Groups is a place where anyone is welcome, learning, laughing, food, helping one another and asking anything.  Alpha Groups is a ten-week practical course on the Christian faith.

What are General small groups?
Small groups at Erie First Assembly of God are available in formats and focuses.  If you desire intentional fun fellowship, structure, caring for one another, and Biblical studies, our ‘General Small Groups’ are for you. 

What are Athletic groups?

For Those who desire a shorter time commitment, have particular interests, and enjoy fun fellowship while reaching others. 

Where and when do these small groups meet?
Erie First small groups meet in various locations throughout the Erie Area.  The majority of our small groups meet in homes.  Small groups meet at various times throughout the week, and at different times throughout the day.

Who can participate?
Erie First small groups are open to everyone in the Erie and surrounding areas.

Why Be Involved In a Small Group?
No matter who we are we all have an inner desire to connect and   belong.  We all yearn for healthy relationships.  Small groups provide this opportunity for everyone.  Small groups are one of the best ways to fulfill the Biblical purposes of the church.  Here are several reasons why you should join a small group.

Small groups are God’s way of connecting people with one another in the community of faith.

Small groups are a place you can belong without having to pay a monthly membership with lousy benefits.

Small groups provide an opportunity for everyone to learn together.  People are brought closer to Christ one step at a time. 

Life transformation can happen in small groups.  Small groups provide an opportunity to transition from doing things alone to do things together.

Small groups provide training for future leadership.  This is one of the best ways to train other leaders.

Small groups encourage Godly stewardship.  When people are loved and cared for there is a tendency for them to give more.

Being a part of a small group grants you the opportunity to invest into others.
 
Small groups create an atmosphere to cultivate authentic relationships.
